A music industry veteran of 25+ years, Songbird Creative’s founder Julie Hurwitz has witnessed the rise and successes of many artists and careers. Inspired by her historical journey, I built this visual identity, honoring her roots and background. Colors of 1970’s music and street photography inspired the palette, focusing on softer hues with pops of red and blue to inspire confidence and strength. For the logo design, I drew from iconic album covers and remixed the designs for a modern brand expression. The typography is cool while showing approachability and ease. A graphic non-serif font is used for the logo. The mark shows a contrast of thick and thin lines balanced by soft curves for a recognizable graphic symbol.
